Greetings all. Today is a very exciting day for us here at Heavy Water. We have launched a KickStarter project called Axis Game Factory:
We have seen the desire for gamers to be able to customize their experience and we thought, “Why not have them customize the whole game?” And that is exactly what we have done here. There isn’t much I can say here without just copy and pasting from the project page. Please check out the video and all the details about this very innovative and exciting project.
As you may know, our game, Hexx, has released on PlayStation®Home. It is a fun, addictive social game that is easy to pick up, but difficult to master. With Hexx comes tiles, and each tile is a unique piece of art, but where did this art come from? Answer: Our very own Matt McDonald!
Crystal Hunter is that little game that showed up in the Avalon Keep private apartment as a free update, and now it has spread to the Hexalon Village by way of Farlow, Barlow’s Big Brother. As the Avalon Keep expanded so did the rewards within the Crystal Hunter store. So let’s break it down, shall we, and see exactly who can earn what, where, when and why!
We have finally released our major gaming title: Emo Ray Vs. The Intergalactic Teddy Bears. The premise of the game follows our hero, Raymond Radd, in his efforts to stop the evil invading bears, and rescue his friends and family. Raymond Radd is the vocalist for The Raging Unicorns, and while that band name and all the band members are unique and interesting, we needed to match real life music to them.
Enter: So Long Davey!
So Long Davey! is a local San Diego band who has been together for 5 years and counting. They have played countless shows including Vans Warped Tour and opened for bands like Sum 41 and Say Anything. They just released their first full length album, which you can purchase here: The Real Houseboys of Beverly Hills. The really interesting thing here is that this album is a pay-what-you-want promotion. Of course the normal asking price for an album is around $10, but you can pay nothing, or pay hundreds or thousands. Using the link above allows all proceeds to go to the band directly, so if you like their music, support them. We have.
So Long Davey’s music is a perfect accompaniment for Emo Ray Vs. The Intergalactic Teddy Bears. The fast paced action matches with the fast and catchy rock beats that they lay down. We couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity than to pair up with So Long Davey on this project. Emo Ray Vs. The Intergalactic Teddy Bears might be about destroying evil bears with your van, but the game wouldn’t feel right without great music to back it up!
Visit So Long Davey and find out about them, their music, and upcoming shows.
